Carry some food though, possibly even chai. I visited the place in Summers, but I think it would be wise to see it in the winters. Its a huge park and walking is the best part there, follow one of the numerous trails and just enjoy the jungle sounds. I still believe that the Park is a great place for kids, but even adults can enjoy walking on the solitary road with trees all around. Amruta being the no-fuss-girl for Sunday trips also gladly agreed. There were zero expectations with the place (I had visited it years ago with Nirma friends, but only briefly) and the only idea was to spend a day close to nature and do some photography. We had made this trip because we were running out of places to see over the weekends and I was not so keen on biking over long distances. Just a trial for DOP I guess, the camera was new then! Its on the main road itself and well marked on the road as well. It is extremely easy to locate, ask anyone on the road just before you enter Gandhinagar and they will be able to guide you. We started early in the morning and it took about an hour to reach the Park. ![]() I made this trip with a couple of more friends last year (Bhavin and Amruta), just in time to experiment with my camera before the Italy trip. Its a great highway and if the weather is good, the ride is extremely pleasurable. If you live in Ahmedabad drive down in your car, or even better on your bikes. Lotus in the pond, this is a paradise for clicking pictures!
